We had a wonderful time capturing little Spencer at 6 weeks old. He was calm, beautiful and had these adorable cheeks! We really love taking photos of babies in their homes as it shows a lot about the family and how they live and love.

You gotta love baby feet and their soft buttery skin!

If you haven't heard of them yet, Diesel Fitter is Ottawa's favorite rock cover band. They are a high-energy Ottawa rock band who cover music from the 60's to today, performing live covers such as The Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin, The Who, The Tragically Hip, and more.

When Sam was asked to photograph this band's live performance, he could not refuse (as you know, music was a big part of Sam's life before photography, so any chance he can cover a band, he's there!). It is great to be able to continue to do photography outside of our scope of weddings and lifestyle portraiture, and shooting bands is a great way to blend Sam's love for music and photography.

As promised, here are a few more of our favorite images we wanted to post from this session. We love it when our clients ask us to help style their sessions and this one was so fun to do! Everything from picking out the right outfits, to locations and props. It doesn't hurt that these girls had so much fun and were so easy to work with. Kids have this uncanny way of just being themselves, which i love!

It was one of the cooler days in November, but Sam and I were able to squeeze in one more session just before the snow came. Sam and I shot this session together and we realized how much fun it was to push each other artistically. Melissa and her girls were such a joy to work with and it has been a greater joy to know them. We did their family session two years ago, and it is so amazing to be able to capture these photos of her growing girls.

We had so many favorites, we may have to post part 2 another time!

Melissa, thank you so much for allowing us to be a part of your lives. We are truly grateful for your friendship and for your complete trust in us to capture these moments. Your girls are truly so full of life and their sweetness is a reflection and evidence of being truly loved.
