Welcome

Thank you for stopping by our blog. This is where you'll find the scoop on our lives and some of our recent work.

If you are looking for a photographer, feel free to take a closer look at our portfolio in our  weddings website and our lifestyle website

We'd love to also hear from you, so feel free to leave us a comment and let us know what you think!  Thank you and please visit again soon.

One of the many perks of being a wedding photographer is the opportunity to meet and work with other creative and passionate businesses.  We get to experience some of the best professionals that Ottawa has to offer and believe me, they're a pretty talented group!

Today we're highlighting Play Food and Wine located downtown in the Byward Market.  If you're looking to buck the trends and go for an intimate celebration in a modern-chic environment, Play delivers the goods.  Chef Michael Moffatt and his team put together a unique mix of upscale flavours combined with a playful twist on your favourite comfort foods.  Perfect for parties, small weddings or just a fun evening out.

We love photographing the food and details of our events and here are a few from R&M's pretty, Yellow Wedding.

Gentlemen, start your engines!  Wedding season is off in full swing and of course, everyone is getting slicked out and spiced up for all the festivities to come.  I'm starting a series of posts to answer some of the common questions that you guys ask during the wedding day so keep checking back for fun and informative posts that you (and your bride) will appreciate! :)

So, how DO you fold a pocket square?  This is by far the most common question I'm asked during the wedding as guys are getting the final kinks worked out of their wardrobe.  Remember guys, this is NOT a napkin at a fancy restaurant - we don't need a white swan or ornate Origami, just something simple and elegant and something that suits your sense of style.

Most tux rental places will give you a stiffer pocket square suitable for the One-Point fold or the Two-Point fold .  But why not splurge and get yourself a luxurious silk hanky and try one of the folds listed below?

My personal faves are the Astaire and the Puff, they a little less rigid and perfect for silk.  Take time to experiment with what fold suits you, then head on out and really turn some heads!

Rock on, gentleman.

Sam.
